Review- If I Stay
If you going to see this film, make sure you are prepared. When I say prepared, I mean you need a hanky all throughout the movie. This is a reason why you should not go see this movie with people you get embarrassed around. For example your boyfriend, mom, or your friend that is constantly judging people. She will judge you like no one's business and she might not want to be your friend anymore. I think I have made my point. You will cry. The fact is inevitable. Now let me just jump into the plot.
Mia Hall (Chloe Grace Moretz) and her family go up to her grandparent's farm on a snow day. On their way up, their car collides with an oncoming truck on the icy road. Mia has an out-of-body experience where she sees her body laying on the crimson colored snow. She franticly tries to ask the paramedics questions, but they seem to see right through her. The paramedics are trying to get her parents out of their flipped car. Mia gets in ambulance and leaves her parents. Mia finds herself in the hospital waiting to know the condition of her family. She is in a coma herself. Mia has many flashbacks all leading up to the ultimate question. Should she stay?
I give this movie a 10/10. The acting is phenomenal, and the music goes along perfectly with the different scenes of the movie. If you enjoyed The Fault in our Stars or The Last Song, this movie is perfect for you. This film does not have many inappropriate parts. In one scene, it shows Mia in bed with her boyfriend. But there are no details of what happened. Overall, this is a great movie and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
